Pella Cooperative Electric is pleased to introduce Pull The Plug, an appliance recycling program available to all cooperative members.

One call to the cooperative activates the Pull the Plug program for removing and recycling inefficient refrigerators, freezers and window air conditioners. Our program contactor, Environmental Services of Iowa (ESI), then arranges to pick up your appliance and pays you a reward! You'll receive a yellow sticker to identify the appliance and a check will be mailed to you.

Members can receive up to three incentives per year on the following appliances:

Refrigerators - $35
Freezers - $25
Window Air Conditioners - $25

Special Note: A $25 penalty fee may be charged to any scheduled collection address whereby the appliances identified are not available or all the appliances on site are determined to be ineligible for the program.
