The Electric Cooperative Youth Tour, as it is formally known, has brought high school students to Washington, D.C. since the 1950s. Youth Tour gives students from rural areas and small towns across America the opportunity to experience the nation’s capital. Participants are selected by their local rural electric cooperative (in 2012, Pella Cooperative Electric sponsored one student). Our selected participant will join over 1,300 students from several other states for a week in Washington D.C. on June 14 - 20, 2013. Follow their story on Facebook, Twitter and Blogspot.
