Jessica Salpor was selected as Pella Cooperative Electric’s 2012 Youth Tour participant. She will enjoy an all expense paid trip to Washington D.C. from June 15 – 21. "I’m extremely excited about the Youth Tour because I think it will be a great opportunity to learn and experience our nation’s capitol. I’m honored to represent Pella Cooperative Electric," said Salpor.

Pella Cooperative Electric believes that one of the greatest investments in our future is to educate the young people in our communities through programs like Youth Tour. As these young people become the leaders of tomorrow, they will be able to influence decision making at a local, statewide and national level.

Jessica recently finished her senior year at Pella High School and was involved with many activities including varsity debate team, band, and student council. Jessica looks forward to learning more about electric cooperatives during her trip to D.C. in June.  Congratulations Jessica!
