Electric Cooperatives are leading the way in development of renewable energy sources in rural America. Currently, Pella Cooperative Electric gets 26.7% of the power from renewable energy sources - a number that keeps growing. The electricity we distribute is purchased from Central Iowa Power Cooperative (CIPCO) a generation and transmission cooperative. Approximately 73.3% of the electricity is generated from carbon and emissions-free resources minimizing the impact on the natural environment.
